    of course this doesn't work with people who have no ability for empathy. my landlord is threatening to drive up my rent because my girlfriend took a shower at my place. he said he was tired of her coming over, and he was just going to raise my rent in anticipation of higher utilities that are supposedly included. I tried to explain the situation, and he flat out told me he doesn't care nor does he have time to care about anybody but himself. he excused himself about 20 times over for being an asshole, and I had to close the door on him to keep from bashing his face in with a baseball bat.

    Mark Zuckerberg is not an "executive." He's an owner. Executives serve owners. Owners don't have to have executive presence, and in fact it would only harm them. Owners are originators and thus need creativity, drive, even some degree or eccentricity. Executives are groomed and trained, maybe even from childhood, to serve owners. As for me--I'm the talent. I'm the skilled worker. And I work for the executive zombies. Just the way things go. :)

    I was trying to understand what that meant. But then I realized that the birthday cake is really just an excuse to eat the frosting. People sometimes save the frosting for last. Others make sure every bite has both cake and frosting. It's like a game to make sure that you don't end up with just cake. Anyway the cake is just fluff. What you really want is the icing. The icing is what it's all about.

    Yep. Excellent! I saw him describe this to Jessica.Chen just now. Excellent. But you know what? Now I am thinking of the extra sofa by the extra.chair, with the parents of that third grader who care so much about what history textbook their son will study, or the family members of the patient who will get diagnosed in that new proposed MRI machine, and her primary care doctor as well, who wants her patient to live a longer, happier life. An empty sofa and an empty chair - thank you - I have broadened my audience.so now I can look that person to.whom I am delivering my pitch and know I am intent on not just helping them, but the people in the empty chair and the empty sofa so near and dear to my listener - that gives me power, confidence, and authenticity!

    This was so encouraging! First of all, I appreciate your time and the wisdom you gave. Proverbs 15:22 says, “Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.” I don’t have really any wise counsel around me to access easily and it means a lot that you took the time to make this video. I have been asking God for Wisdom this past month especially and I am looking for as much wisdom before I move as possible (of course prayer and reading the scripture). I am about to move to be near a long distance relationship (2 hours) and the place I am planning on moving to has has a lot of issues and red flags ever since I began the process. It’s 4 days before I’m supposed to move and they still don’t have a concrete apartment for me. (They keep going back and forth). Instead of stressing too much, I told my bf that we should pray because it doesn’t feel right at those apartments…and though it’s not fun…I don’t want to end up in a contract with a nightmare housing situation. I told him I think I will ask my current place if they can do a month to month (they do that but I don’t know if they have someone lined up yet). And if it is open then I should take it…wait for my finances to settle a bit and look for a better place to move. He agreed that if I was not happy with the apartment and it felt off, that I should do what feels best and supports me. So I also was online seeking any kind of advice and your video was the first thing to pop up. It’s definitely a sign that God is growing my wisdom and discernment and that I should see what I can do to “slow down.” Anyway I’m shocked your video hasn’t gotten more views, it is presented in a very organized, calm and insightful way…even a little humor and nature to balance out the heaviness of the topic. Keep up the good work and thanks for making this…!

    • @westfallonline
      @westfallonline Рік тому

      Thank you for your comments - glad you liked the video! And good luck with the move. Seems like some wisdom and options are showing up, and your boyfriend is open to your POV - very cool. Seems like your decisions are taking shape 🙏😁🙏
